Fully automated
Fixed position RFID readers are installed on site and continually scan the bins and upload the results to FlagBin Live. No manual intervention is required.
When configured for use with RFID, FlagBin Live utilises two RFID (radio frequency identification) tags for each FlagBin. The first tag is used to provide confidence that the RFID reader is able to read the bin. The second tag is used to indicate the position of the flag, and therefore whether the FlagBin requires restocking. Our software controls the RFID readers, interprets their results and uploads this information to FlagBin Live.
Partially Automated
Using a handheld RFID reader or barcode scanner, a stock control operative performs a scan mission. Our software, installed on the handheld reader, enables the operative to complete the scan mission quickly and without error. Once the scan mission is complete, the status of the FlagBins is automatically uploaded to FlagBin Live. Internet access is only required when starting and completing the scan mission.
Manual
A stock control operative performs a scan mission using a laptop or tablet PC. The status of the bins is entered directly into FlagBin Live. Access to the internet is required during the scan mission. Apart from the laptop or tablet PC, no additional hardware or software is required.
