The stock level indication of the bins can be gathered using any combination of the following methods:
- fully automated - fixed position RFID readers continually scan the bins and upload the results to FlagBin Live, giving a near real time indication of the stock level of the bins
- partially automated - an operative uses a handheld RFID reader or barcode scanner to read the stock level of the bins
- manual - the stock level of the bins is entered directly into FlagBin Live using a laptop or tablet PC
